Mrs. Pearline McGriff

Pearline Lewis McGriff, departed her earthly home to her heavenly home on
Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Early Medical Center in Blakely, Georgia. Pearline
was the daughter of the late Pearlie Mae Daniels and the late Willie James Lewis.
Pearline was educated in the Calhoun County School System, graduating with the
class of 1980. At an early age, she joined Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in
Leary, Georgia.
After graduating high school, she entered the workforce with her first job at Brew
Schneider. She tried other jobs, then found employment at Thomas & Betts. She then pursued a
career in the healthcare field which she worked until she decided on another
avenue with the Seminole County School System until she transitioned.
She met and married Samuel McGriff. From this union, three children were born.
Pearline enjoyed going to church, shopping, cooking and spending time with her
grandchildren.
Pearline was preceded in death by one brother, Tarus Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her legacy to one daughter Shontay McGriff of Blakely,
Georgia. Two sons Patrick McGriff, Sr., and Samuel McGriff both of Atlanta,
Georgia. Three sisters Pauline Scott and Willie Maude Lee both of Arlington,
Georgia and Willie Ann (Arthur) Upshaw of Phoenix City, Alabama. Eight
grandchildren: Patrick McGriff, Jr., Savion (Shay), London Bourrage, Paxton
McGriff, Breanna McGriff, Lanell McGriff, Serenity McGriff, and Rori McGriff.
Eight aunts; Alice, Curlie, Laura, Christine, Dorothy, Priscilla, Rose Ann, and
Cheryl Faye. Three uncles; Joe, Lester and Nora, Two nieces, Jessica Scott of
Little Rock, Arkansas and LaToya Lee of Atlanta, Georgia. Four nephews, Antonio
Lee of Atlanta, Georgia, Kelvin Scott, Jr., Ohio, Deonte Lewis and Arthur Upshaw
II both of Phoenix City, Alabama. Two God-daughters, Tamieka Grimsley and
LaShonda Grimsley. Special cousins Johnny Williams and Robbie Lewis. Long-time confidant and
best friend Shirley Grimsley. A host of cousins and friends.
