Mr. Clarence "Buddy" Gilbert

Clarence Gilbert was born October 30, 1959, in Arlington, GA (Early Co.) to the late Ms. Mary D. Gilbert and Frank

Bodiford. Clarence was raised by his grandmother, the late Minnie Ryals Chester and his mother Mary D. Gilbert. 

Clarence attended Calhoun County High School in Edison, GA. He graduated with the Class of 1977. Clarence started

working as a teenager. He was a welder at Sunshine Metals and Peerless. He later became a blueprint reader at Ayres

Inc.-Thrush Aircraft.

Clarence joined Holsey Chapel CME early in life. He serviced on the usher board at an early age under the leadership of

his Aunt Mary Wilson. He returned to his church in his adult life and attended until his health fell him.

Clarence departed his life on Wednesday, December 31st  at Miller County Hospital of Colquitt, GA, the bonds between

Clarence and his earthly family were loosened.

Among those that will miss him and cherish sweet memories are; a devoted wife Willie Bell Wimberly Gilbert; one sibling, Mary

King (Tyron George); two siblings that preceded him in death, Joseph Gilbert and Von Gilbert; three living children

Randy Wimberly, Seneca Gilbert and Mona Lisa (Willie) Brackins,III; great- grandchildren Keshambria Gilbert, Brandon Grier,

Jr, Keamber Brackins, Randy Wimberly, Jr, Rome Wimberly, Eboni Dowlen, Aaliyah Gilbert and Sakerie Gilbert;

great-grandchildren Syke Gilbert, Zahari and Zhaari Grier; two aunts Ruby Ruffin and Ruthie Lakes of Newark, New

Jersey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
